Gilroy High School Crossing - Gilroy, California

Project Background

Students who needed to access Gilroy High School had to cross W 10th Street to enter the campus. The crossing occured at the terminus of a 55 mph zone and spanned two 26 foot wide lanes, which exposed pedestrians to an unacceptable high level of risk within the built up area. Crossroad Lab was hired to design a safer crossing for students.
